Margaret Wolford, President

In January 2010, Margaret joined SolomonEdwardsGroup LLC as Director of their Project Management Office overseeing logistics and fulfillment of contracts for their national consulting practice in the areas of government, banking, manufacturing, oil and gas.  Prior to joining SEG, she owned a boutique consulting firm focused on creating and delivering growth strategies to professional service firms.  Her entrepreneurial venture was preceded by 20 years in the financial services industry.  Her banking career encompassed both originating loans to a wide variety of clientele and handling troubled assets at First City, Texas, a large regional bank and Comerica, a mid-size national bank.
 
Margaret began her banking career at First City, Texas as a financial analyst and held positions of increasing responsibility in lending culminating with Vice President and Manager of Business Banking.  During this time she established the bank’s SBA lending program and chaired the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Committee.  She earned both her BBA in Finance and MBA in Accounting from the University of Houston.

Andrea Shiloh, President-Elect

Andrea is a Vice President & Business Relationship Manager with Wells Fargo in the Business Banking Group.  She is a lifelong Houston Banker with 33 years of experience including, 11 of which were in Treasury Management.

Andrea participates
in numerous community and volunteer activities.  She has served on the boards of Girls Inc. of Greater Houston and Concerned Teens, Inc.  Andrea is a proud supporter of the Hermann Eye Fund, Houston Literacy Advance, March of Dimes, and numerous other nonprofit organizations. She is a proud graduate of the University of Houston-Downtown, Bachelor of Science - Class of 1995.

Meresa Morgan, Membership Chair

Meresa has more than 20 years of experience providing audit services to mid-sized private businesses, employee benefit plans and nonprofit organizations. She also provides consulting services, including business acquisition and due diligence.

She serves on BKR International’s Employee Benefit Plan Auditing Committee and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA") Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. Meresa is also a member of the Lone Star Council of the American Society of Pension Actuaries, The Entrepreneurship Institute and the Greater Houston Partnership Professional Services Committee. She is a member of the Women’s Finance Exchange Board for 2010 and serves as Membership Chair.   

 Meresa earned a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Auburn University.

Jan Fisher, Programs Chair

Jan has over 30 years of experience in the title insurance and banking industries, including sales and marketing for a vendor manager providing products and services for residential real estate transactions; management of a title underwriter’s centralized order processing center for residential title insurance transactions; title agency relations on both a local and national level; acquisitions of title agencies, exchange companies, and ancillary service providers; and managing depository relationships with title, exchange and escrow companies.

As Vice President – National Business Development for Old Republic Site Management Services (ORSITE), a nationwide vendor manager servicing commercial real estate clients by providing due diligence products (land surveys, environmental studies, property condition assessments, zoning letters and reports, and appraisals), she is responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives.

Jan is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Texas Land Title Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, Women’s Finance Exchange and CREW. A native Mississippian and Honorary Texan, she graduated with Special Distinction from the University of Mississippi with majors in mathematics and English.

Denise Marks, Special Events Chair

A native of Los Angeles, Denise attended UCLA and graduated from UC Santa Barbara. She completed her Master’s degree at LSU in Baton Rouge. Denise began her financial services career in 1988 at Dean Witter. With over 20 years in the financial services industry, Denise has experience in the areas of personal trust services, residential and commercial real estate lending, and institutional fixed income trading. She is currently with RBC Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor. Denise has been involved in a number of community and professional organizations including the Epilepsy Foundation of SE Texas – Board Member and Gala Chair; Professional Women’s Breakfast Club – President; NCJW – President; Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show – Trailblazer Committee member. She currently serves as the Leadership Chair for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Denise lives in the Rice University area of Houston with her beagle, PJ and her husband Steve. She is an enthusiastic skier, and enjoys working out, cooking, sporting clays and at some point will be a real golfer!
