As the outgoing Women's Finance Exchange President, I wanted to take a short opportunity to thank you for your interest in WFE. We had some phenomenal programs this year -- many thanks to the Programs Committee. One that stood out for me was Living Your Colors. If you weren't able to attend, you may have been told of the success of the program when asking why some people's name tags have those strange colored dots. The Holiday Party (planned by the Special Events Committee) really upped the ante for later years with WFE providing wonderful gifts for a White Elephant gift exchange. Membership is up from last year thanks to the efforts of our members in recruiting colleagues and friends and the efforts of the Membership Committee.

Our members are our most valuable asset.  You are on our invitation list because you have previously attended an event or expressed interest in WFE.  We would like to see you transform from "guest" status by applying for membership for 2009. We have simplified the process by moving to a new website, thanks to Denise Sanders. To apply for membership for 2009, please click on the link below and follow the instructions. You may need to click on the link to obtain a password, much like for other websites that you use.

Our dues are $150 or you can elect to prepay for all events and dues, which gives you a $175 discount over paying for each event and dues separately. It is a great deal if you plan to attend many of the events! We ask that you please apply for membership by January 31, 2008. Also, mark your calendars for the January 22, 2008 Membership Drive and Networking Event at the River Oaks Country Club at 5:00 p.m. We will review your application and if, for any reason, your application is not accepted, the funds will be credited back to you.  

Andrea Shiloh (andrea.shiloh@wachovia.com) is our incoming President and will soon send her own greetings to you and will introduce the new Board members. Anyone interested in becoming involved on a committee for 2009 should talk to her or to any 2009 Board member.
